Caroline County, Virginia – January 16, 2024 – WRIC news reported a Chesterfield man was killed in a four-vehicle crash in Caroline County, where the liable driver was facing several charges, including involuntary manslaughter.
According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday on the Bowling Green Bypass in Caroline.
It was determined that vehicles were stopped on the Bowling Green Bypass when the driver of a tractor-trailer, identified as 37-year-old Vincent Alan Quade of St. Mary’s County, Maryland, failed to slow down and read-ended three vehicles.
Each of the three vehicles hit by Quade had only one occupant. Two were taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The third, 69-year-old Hulon L. Willis, Jr. of Chesterfield County, died at the scene.
